When I first saw this photo, it reminded me of what Jesus said to His
Disciples about the children.
One day the parents brought their children to Jesus so He could lay
hands on them and bless them and pray for them. But the Disciples
scolded them for bothering Him.
But Jesus said, "Let the children come to me. Don't stop them! For the
Kingdom of Heaven belongs to those who are like these children." And He
placed His hands on their heads and blessed them before He left.
Matthew 19: 13-14 NLT
When a child asks a question, do you pay attention? Do you ask
yourself why is this child asking? Most of the time adults just hush the
children and tell them to go and play. But Jesus knew that we must have faith like a little child to
accept Him. He knew that child like wonder of amazement and thinking must not be replaced with
that hard critical reality of adults.
One of the most beautiful things is to discover a Believer, who still loves the Creation of God, is
amazed at all the glory and detail, and gives the credit to God. That Believer still gets a joy when
doing their Bible Reading and tries to see good in all people, especially other Believers. When you stop
and take a look at yourself, do you see this type of Believer, or do you see one that is corrupted by the
world, doesn't believe anyone, sees little good in anyone, and never manages to see the beauty all
Both Believers are saved. It's just that one is enjoying life, like a child, and the other is looking at life,
through dirty glasses. Don't let your glasses get dirty, for if you do, it is so hard to go back into that
child like stage, where everything is beautiful.
I'm not talking about reality. As a grown-up, we need reality to deal with our problems, and to know
what to do in certain circumstances. But, we don't need to be a pessimist an think everything is bad.
It's nice to be somewhere in between that child like wonder and reality.
